The fit between the Clown Doctors (The Humour Foundation) and BIG4 is strong, with BIG4’s personality based on “we take what we do seriously, but we don’t take ourselves seriously”. On a daily basis BIG4 Holiday Parks give children and their families wonderful experiences, supporting The Humour Foundation assists them brighten the day of ill children and families all across Australia.
So far BIG4 has raised over $150,000 for the Clown Doctors! Some of the support we have driven so far includes:
- 5% of new Membership Sales in April 2009 went to the Clown Doctors - the final figure was $11,181.50! Find out more here.
- BIG4 Membership proceeds in February 2009 went to the Clown Doctors to help them provide emergency support to Victorian Bushfire victims, $18, 680 was raised in total. Find out more here.

The Clown Doctors treat children in hospital with medicine of a different kind- doses of fun and laughter! By parodying the hospital routine, the Clown Doctors help children feel less traumatized by medical procedures. Clown Doctors wear a red-nose, a colourful stethoscope and a white doctor’s coat with pockets big enough for lots of fun props. The Clown Doctors encourage interaction and aim to involve patients and families in their rounds to help them forget their illness for a moment.
